PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To accurately realize correspondence between mediums to execute a stable data processing by permitting the data processing of a contactless medium at the time when a contact medium detection means detects the completion of the data processing of a contact medium. SOLUTION: Open/close doors 12 and 12 which control passage of gate users are provided before and after a ticket examination machine main body 11, and a ticket throwing-in hole 13 and a ticket discharging hole 14 are opened in front and rear positions on the upper face of the ticket examination machine main body, and a contactless processing part 15 is arranged on the upper face on the ticket throwing-in hole side, and a ticket examination indicate 16 which indicates and guides the use of ticket examination is arranged on the upper face on the ticket discharging hole side. In this automatic ticket examination machine, two kinds of tickets, namely, a magnetic ticket T1 where ride data is magnetically recorded and a contactless ticket T2 where ride data is recorded without contacting by communication are used for ticket examination; and if one ticket cannot cover the fare at the time of ticket examination, composite ticket examination is allowed where another ticket of the same kind or the different kind is added and two tickets in total are used together. |
