<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a compact low-pressure discharge lamp which can be manufactured simply and rapidly, and advantageously in the cost aspect, as well as guarantees the highest contact accuracy as to the constitution necessary for electric connection of the lead of a discharge tube and a terminal corresponding to a ballast. SOLUTION: This discharge lamp 10 is composed of a discharge tube 14 having an electrode and a lead 30; and a base assembled by an installing plate 24 furnishing a cap 16, a case 18, and a ballast. The installing plate 24 furnishing the ballast is installed to the inside the base case 18. This installing plate 24 has a terminal 26 in order to connect the lead 30 electrically. The lead 30 is connected to the electric terminal 26 of the installing plate 24 through a conductive spring element 28, or by a conductive coil or a spiral coil 28 respectively.</p> |
