PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mechanism for opening/closing a cartridge shutter by which interference between a cartridge shutter member and parts inside a device main body can be prevented, so that a cartridge can be smoothly attached/ detached. SOLUTION: The upper surface part 18b1 of a shutter opening guide rail 18b engaged with a projection part 28a3 operating a shutter member 28 so that the shutter member starts moving from a protection position to a retreating position before a dowel 12b2 is fitted to a cartridge inserting guide rails 18a when a process cartridge C is inserted in the device main body 16 is disposed. Thus, the shutter member 28 opens while the process cartridge slightly enters a cartridge attaching space R. |
