A device for handling returnable packaging such as bottles and/or tin cans. The device 10 includes a revolving filler 12 to take the returned packaging such as bottles or cans from a feed station B1 and beyond. The apparatus that carries the returned packaging from the packaging feed station B1 is a revolving filler 12 that includes an area for packaging A1 , A2. The equipment includes the filler 12, an outer wall 12b which moves forward from the feed door B1 when the filler revolves. The identification station B2 where the returned packaging, such as bottles or tin cans, are identified, is placed after the feed station B1. There is a means whereby the returned packaging which has been placed in a packaging area, A1 or A2, on the filler 12 is carried, through the turning of the filler, to the identification station B2 where the returned packaging is identified. In the equipment array, if the packaging is accepted, after the feed station B1 there is a station to which the returned packaging is carried. The device includes control of the filler 12 so that returned packaging, such as a bottle or tin can, that is not accepted after identification carried out at the identification station will be carried back to the feed station B1 by the filler 12 turning in the opposite direction. |
