摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical recording medium that is suitable for recording with a laser light of 600 to 700nm in wavelength. SOLUTION: This medium meets specific requirements shown by (1) to (2). Namely, (1) the thickness of a groove part of a recording layer is set within a range corresponding to the peak of 1st interference of a disk reflection factor R as to the relation between the recording layer film thickness and disk reflection factor R corresponding to recording and reproducing light wavelength an the attenuation coefficient of the recording layer is 0.03 to 0.09. (2) A1 /A0 is 0.07 to 0.18 and A0 is 0.5 to 0.7, where A1 is light absortivity when recording or reproducing light wavelength is ±3nm is the absorption spectrum of the single recording layer and A0 is the light absorptivity of maximum absorption or absorption shoulder on the short-wavelength side close to it.
