<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a paper carrying tractor from moving when paper is not carried and to ensure a stable, vertical printing strap position by holding the paper carrying tractor by means of a hold member before the carrying of the paper, and releasing the tractor from the hold member during the carrying of the paper. SOLUTION: Before the paper is carried, the hold member 15 attached to a solenoid 14 is in a slit in an encoder 12 so that the encoder 12 attached to the rotary shaft of the paper carrying tractor 7 does not move. Then, after a printing operation is started, a toner image is formed on a photoreceptive drum 1 in response to a CPU signal (paper feed signal) transmitted from a controller, and a printer paper carrying signal is outputted with the timing of the reach of the toner image to a transfer point. By transmitting a magnetization signal to the solenoid 14 with the timing of the output, a spring 16 attached to the hold member 15 is pulled and detached from the slit in the encoder 12. As a result of this operation, the paper carrying tractor 7 is released from the hold.</p> |
