PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a compact low pressure gas discharge lamp that can be produced simply, speedily, and with advantageous cost together with a guarantee of the most reliable contact assuredness in a constitution necessary to connect electrically the lead of a discharge tube and a terminal corresponding to a ballast. SOLUTION: This gas discharge lamp 10 is composed of a discharge tube 14 with a electrode and a lead 30, a cap 16, and a cap 12 assembled with a fitting panel 24 having a case 18 and a ballast. The fitting plate 24 with the ballast is fitted inside the metallic cap 18 and has a terminal 26 to connect electrically the lead 30. In addition, the lead 30 is respectively connected through a conductive spring element 28 to the electric terminals 26 of the fitting panel 24. |
