PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the reliability of data write/read of a data storage tag that utilizes magnetostriction vibrating reeds. SOLUTION: Magnetostriction vibration reeds 5a to 5d and a separator 6 are hermetically sealed between a case body 3 and a cover sheet 4. A ferromagnetic layer 7 is formed on an inner side of the sheet 4 by coating. A magnetic head is accessed to the layer 7 from the surface side of the sheet 4, and a magnetic pattern which separately gives a bias magnetic field to each reed 5a to 5d is written. Sheet material that has fluff is used for the separator 6, and it prevents the reeds 5a to 5d from coming into direct contact with the layer 7 and also makes them mechanically and freely vibrate. The layer 7 has 25 to 150μ film thickness and has >=2.5Mx/cm residual magnetization. |
