PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a polymer electrolyte secondary battery which prevents internal short circuiting at the time of a manufacturing, is light in weight and improves energy density per unit weight by arranging a solid polymer electrolyte layer which makes organic particle as a reinforcing material and holds non- aqueous electrolyte between a positive electrode and a negative electrode. SOLUTION: A polymer electrolyte secondary battery is constituted by arranging a solid polymer electrolyte layer 2 between a positive electrode 3 and a negative electrode 1. The positive electrode 3 is constituted by making a collector 6 such as aluminum carry a positive electrode sheet 7 including an active material such as LiMn2 O4 . The negative electrode 1 is constituted by making a collector 4 such as copper carry a negative electrode sheet 5 including an active material such as a carbonaceous material. The solid polymer electrolyte layer 2 holds non-aqueous electrolytic solution in which electrolyte such as LiClO4 is dissolved in non-aqueous solvent such as ethylene carbonate by polymer and includes a reinforcing material including organic particle. As this organic particle, polyolefine or polyamide of a melting point 100 to 160 deg.C is preferable. The particle diameter is preferable to be about 0.5μm to a thickness of the electrolyte layer 2. |
