PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To avoid increasing the size of a coil and obstructing the heat radiation when a conductor coil is made by U-winding of a coil conductor in a coil winding process. SOLUTION: A bare conductor 1 for a coil conductor is wound by rotating a drum 21 to feed the bare conductor toward a winder and by rotating a drum 23 having a cover insulation material 2 wound around it to feed the material 2 to the winder. A covering mechanism 30 composed of first to fifth rollers 31-35 and retain roller 36 is actuated to cover the fed material 2 round the bare conductor 1, thus forming a coil conductor during winding. This eliminates the need of separate insulation covering steps and hence does not increases the man-hours. |
