PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the convenience by providing incoming call tone sections that generate any of a plurality of incoming call tones through switching processing at the arrival of an incoming call, generating a usual incoming call tone in the case of a usual incoming call desiring a voice speech and generating an incoming call tone different from the usual incoming call tone in the case of the arrival of an incoming call for data communication for information service thereby allowing the user to discriminate the kind of the incoming call from the type of the incoming call tone. SOLUTION: When a database 101 is connected to an information terminal equipment a 104 via an extension line through a private branch exchange 102, the information terminal equipment a 104 discriminates a call to be data communication and provides an output of an incoming call tone from a data communication incoming call tone section. On the other hand, in the case of communication between the information terminal equipment a104 and an information terminal equipment b105, external line connection via a public network 103 is made and the communication is discriminated to be a usual voice speed and an incoming call tone from a telephone communication incoming call tone section is outputted. The incoming call tone is selected based on a communication path that is an extension line or an external line so as to allow the user to immediately discriminate a usual speech from data communication. |
