PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent excessive reflection of light emitted from a florescent lamp on an end of a light-transmitting plate from generating glare. SOLUTION: In back light unit of edge light system, a fluorescent lamp 3 as a light source is placed on an end of a high-transparent light conductive plate 2, the lamp and its periphery are covered with a lamp holder 6 or a reflector sheet whose reflection efficiency is good, and light is condensed onto the light-transmitting plate 2. The condescend light is reflected uniformly to the front side of the light-transmitting plate 21 by using a reflecting sheet 5 placed on the back side of the plate 2. A lot of holes 7 are bored in the reflecting sheet 5 near the fluorescent lamp. Therefore, the lamp light which is reflected by a lamp cover and entered from the end of the light-transmitting plate 2 is escaped moderately from the holes 7 bored in the reflecting sheet 5, and generation of glare near the lamp is prevented. |
