SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR VIDEO COMPRESSION OF HIGH RESOLUTION BY MEANS OF TILING

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To attain communication of images of high resolution shown in the digital video signals that uses an encoder and a decoder of ordinary resolution of an existing product by showing an image in numerous independent small images which are digitally encoded, deciding the complexity of every encoded small image, and multiplexing these small images. SOLUTION: An image is shown in small images which are digitally encoded independently of each other (step 60), and the complexity of every encoded small image is decided (step 70). Then the coded small images are multiplexed for production of the digital video signals which are characterized by a substantially fixed serial bit flow speed (step 80). Thus, it is possible to attain a communication method for the high resolution images which are shown in the digital video signals, including the produced ones which are characterized by a substantially fixed serial bit flow speed.
