<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ATM switchboard which is miniaturized and require a control signal line extension part even in the case of extending a line corresponding part or mounting the line corresponding part in a unit different from a switchboard control part by using a line as a control signal line as well as a main information line to reduce the number of wirings, the line corresponding part, and the interface part of a switch part. SOLUTION: A switchboard control part 1 is provided with an AAL processing part 12 and a table 13 where the correspondence relation between destinations of control information and VPI/VCIs is described. At the time of transmission, the switchboard control part 1 describes control information, which controls a line corresponding part 4, a switch part 2, and a signal processing part 3 in a payload by the AAL processing part 12 and describes a VI/VCI in a header to generate and transmit a control cell to the switch part 2. At the time of reception, the control part 1 discriminates whether a VPI/VCI is destined for a local device or not by its own AAL processing part 12; and if it is destined for the local device, the control cell is extracted to perform the control.</p> |
