PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and an apparatus, for the measurement of an object to be worked, which can easily find the central position and the size of a circular work which is arranged in an indefinite position and whose central position and size are indefinite. SOLUTION: First, two prescribed points A, B on the outer circumference 20 of a circular work are taught. Then, a temporary circle 21 in which the middle point 23 between the points A, B is used as the center is found. Then, on a second straight line 24 which is at right angles to a first straight line 22 passing the points A, B and which passes the middle point 23, the difference L between the temporary circle 21 and the outer circumference 20 of the circular work is found. On the basis of the found difference L, the central position (the coordinates of the central point G) and the size (the radius R) of the circular work 20 are found. |
