The variable speed power actuator includes two pistons (104, 105) housed in cylinders (101, 161), a long speed piston and a short power piston. These pistons are simultaneously subjected to the action of the same hydraulic fluid at the same pressure (102,162). The speed piston has a rod (104) provided with a head (141) at its end outside the cylinder and a stop (142) at its end inside the cylinder. The power piston, which slides on the speed piston rod, has a shape of a sleeve of length corresponding to the initial power work phase of the actuator. It has a stop in the rear for its end of travel in its cylinder and a stop at the front for supporting it in the initial phase against the speed and power piston rod head.
