摘要 <p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To put a reflection type liquid crystal display device to practical use by preventing luminance modulation at a gap part between a signal line and a pixel electrode due to a lateral electric field produced at the gap part, improving picture quality, and obtaining a good-contrast and bright image display. SOLUTION: Crosstalk is prevented and display quality is improved by setting gaps d1 and d2 between 1st and 2nd signal lines 26a and 26b, and a 1st pixel electrode 27a and gaps d3 and d4 between the 1st signal lines 26a and 26b, and a 2nd pixel electrode 27b wide enough to case no luminance modulation at the gap parts. Further, TFTs are shielded only above them and the gap parts between the signal lines 26 and pixel electrodes 27 are made open to improve the aperture rate, thereby improving the display luminance.</p>
