Testing of PCBs using system working with test fingers

The testing method is carried out after the positioning of a PCB (4) to be tested on a working surface (3). Optical scanning is used and a pattern of test points arranged on the PCB is determined. The deviation, compared to the result obtained with an ideal PCB ideally applied in the test system, is determined. A coordinate system of the testing system is corrected according to the determined deviation. The test fingers (1) are moved according to the corrected coordinate system. During a calibration operation, a coordinate system of a working surface of the test system is established. Determined points in the coordinate system of the working surface are scanned by the test fingers so that, by means of sensors, the movements of the test fingers to the determined points are determined, and are stored as coordinates of the test fingers in a calibration table.
