Method of printing individual identifiers e.g. bar-codes

The print method involves providing sheets (3) with individual identifiers after passing the sheets through a printing gap formed by a printing cylinder (4) and a rubber cylinder (8). The sheets are passed by a laser or ink jet printer (1) arranged at a distance from each print cylinder. The identifiers are applied before or after applying each printing colour or immediately after applying the last colour.
