Light conductor connection casing

The casing (1) connects a light conductor (3) with an opto-electronic converter (5), and is composed of a massive body, which is soldered in SMD technology on a printed circuit board (6). At least one planar surface area is provided for supporting the casing on the printed circuit board. A layered passage drill hole (d1, d2) is provided, whose axis is parallel to the planar surface area, and which has a first diameter (d1) for recording an light conductor fiber end (2) and a second diameter (d2) for receiving the converter. The planar surface area has edge areas formed to be soldered on metallised areas (7) of the printed circuit board.
