Method and appliance for treating narrow-sided wood surfaces

The narrow surfaces of the panel shaped components are machined in the three stages of roughing, cutting out a groove, and treating the cutting edge. The roughing tool is a tapered ended surface cutter positioned in relation to the workpiece's surface that a slanting surface is worked. The roughing implement is movably positioned parallel to its cutting plane at the point of working. The edge trimmer produces a nearly vertical narrow surface. The outer part of the cut of the edge trimmer is crowned or bevelled.
