First of all, the inner section (6) of the double shell sidewall is joined to the first assembly stage by spot welding (15). Then the outer section is welded to the inner section similarly by spot welding. The inner section and the outer section are each split horizontally into a lower section reaching as far as the lower window edge. There is an upper section forming the B-column and C-column and roof frame.
