A magnetic planetary gearbox has a driving shaft and a coaxial driven shaft, each connected to at least one wheel. Each wheel is provided with alternatingly polarised magnets around its periphery and torque is transmitted without contact between the wheels by the magnetic fields. A further wheel is present which is provided with alternatingly polarised magnets around its periphery and whose axis is parallel to the two shafts (1,3). The extra wheel and the other wheels in any arbitrary arrangement form the wheels of a planetary gearbox that has a sun gear (4), a annular gear (2) and planetary gears (7). The planetary gears roll around the sun and ring gears. One planetary gear is fixed to the axle of each shaft.
