Method for producing workpieces

The method concerns production of workpieces consisting of ceramic or oxide-ceramic materials, in particular, stoneware, porcelain, clay or a similar material, according to which the workpieces are dried and subsequently baked. The method is characterised by the fact that drying and baking take place in a baking furnace. This furnace (10) incorporates a housing (11) forming a space for the workpieces, at least one insulation layer (22, 23) and at least one heating element (20), for example, in the form of a heating coil for baking the workpieces. The furnace is characterised by an integrated unit serving for drying of the workpieces.
