Method of removing moisture from air in an air conditioning system

In a dehydration method, adsorption medium (3) in a box (5) removes moisture from air flowing through it in an air conditioning system, removing liberated heat (8), until it reaches a saturation level, when it is moved into a flow of regenerative warm air (2) and a box (6) containing regenerated absorption medium (4) is moved into the stream of moist air. Preferably the boxes are formed by a circular device (7) which rotates through 180 deg. to move the boxes between air streams (1, 1'; 2, 2'), the circular device being contained within an enclosure (10). Heat is removed from the dried air stream using a heat exchanger (9) through which the air stream (1') flows. Also claimed is a unit for carrying out the method with a housing containing quadrants forming boxes and a device for moving them through 180 deg..
