The clamping and fixing element is fitted in a concrete wall (1) by a plug (2). A bolt (5) is screwed into the plug. The clamping and fixing element (3) is fitted on the bolt. The spring (6) is hooked in and the nut (4) is then tightened. The elastic fixing and clamping element can be used, e.g. to fit a washing machine into position. The fixing and clamping element can be formed into an eye by bending it round a mandrel. The diameter of the eye depends on the arm spacing.
