Indexprints generating system for developed photographic films

The system includes a video camera (16,17) which detects the pictures of a film. A processor unit joins the pictures and the picture numbers which are output on printing material by an output unit. The film is a slide film (1) which is fed to a framing unit with a printing unit (23) for the numbers on the frames (8a). An illumination unit (13) is arranged along the slides. The video camera acquires the pictures for inversion on negative copy material (21). Preferably, the video camera is arranged after the framing unit but before the printing unit along the path of the framed slides.
