The method involves generating a virtual cell raster with a number of cells of a predetermined size and form. A subset of transmitter locations are determined from a list of already existing transmitter locations, which are located within a predetermined center area of the individual cells of the virtual cell raster. The determined subset of transmitter locations is maximised through repeated rotation and translation of the position of the cell raster with respect to the existing transmitter locations, and the maximum amount of transmitter locations contained in the determined subset are entered in a list.
