The appliance is for transfer of materials from a material transporter (B), e.g. a lorry, to a construction machine (E), via a transporter unit. The speed of the lorry is adjusted to that of the construction machine. The transporter unit has one or more chassis (F1,2), each with a platform (P1,2) above it. These are connected to the construction machine via a conveyor (T,Q). The material is transferred from the lorry to the construction machine via the conveyor. The transporter is formed by a platform, which moves at the speed of the construction machine, while the transporter rolls over the platform during the transfer.
