Adjustable spanner of the type comprised of a fixed jaw, which is integral with the handle, and a mobile jaw (2) which is provided with a rack (3). Said rack is in mesh with an actuation shaft (5) made of flexible elastomer material and to which is provided an actuation note (4). Said shaft (5) consists of a compact cylindrical body having a diameter corresponding to the respective mount housing (6). When mounted, said shaft (5) remains slightly in a flexured position, thereby biasing the nut (4) towards the rack (3) of the mobile jaw (2), with the possibility of separating said nut (4) with respect to said rack (3) of the mobile jaw (2) by forced displacement of the nut (4) against the action of said shaft (5).
