The invention concerns a mounting for a cooking surface held at its periphery by at least one support part which is produced from a plastics material. According to the invention, a sufficiently heat-resistant mounting which is not complicated to produce is provided in that the support part consists at least partially of a glass-fibre-reinforced duromer which is itself heatresistant.
