<p>A silver halide color photographic material improved in the fastness of a color image, color reproduction, cyan stain, cyan color mixing at the time of processing, and the like by the combined use of a phenidone compound having a particular structure, such as one represented by general formula (VIII) and a pyrrolotriazolesilane coupler. The phenidone compounds (VIII) can be prepared at a low cost on a commercial scale by reacting an α-alkyl- or alkenylacrylic ester with a compound represented by general formula (VII), wherein R?4, R5, R6, R7, R8, and R9¿ represent each a hydrogen atom, an alkyl group or the like; and R2a represents a 6-30 C alkyl group or the like.</p> |
