A driving element arrangement for operating or adjusting mechanical components, especially headlamp, seat, window or steering adjustment mechanisms, has a first driving element (10) and a second one driven by the first through regions engaging on the respective surfaces. These regions define a mating region in the form of a non-closed trajectory on the engagement surfaces of both elements. The mating surfaces of both elements have alternating convex and concave wells and noses (16, 18) following one after the other, a nose of one element engaging with a well of the other. The transitions between the wells and noses of one element are continuous, but of the other are circular or elliptical segments. The radii of the noses are equal, larger or smaller than the radii of the wells on at least one element.
