The vacuum toilet system has an intermediate container which can be evacuated and a collection container connected to the toilet pan. The intermediate container is between valves at each end, and flushing jets are at the toilet pan. The intermediate container (2) is combined with a pressure water store (3) as a membrane pump with pneumatic operation. The pressure water store (3) is linked to a fresh water supply tank.
