<p>Octapeptide of common formula (I), wherein the function of the substituents is described in the description, and its linear analogues are used for inhibiting release of growth hormone somatastatin, especially IGF-1, insulin, glucagon and other autoparacrine growth factors or pancreatic exocrine secretion. The therapeutic component contains effective volume of octapeptide together with a pharmaceutically acceptable carrier and it may be coated in a stomach protecting substance, which prevents the sto mach acid effect from the component's defection until its transportation into the small intestine. It may have a form of biodegradation or non-biodegradation component with a consistent release for the intramuscular dosage.</p> |
