In a process for mfg. a product covered on one face with a decorative material, the facing material (1) is located in a mould cavity and a plastic is injected onto the rear face. The material end is then turned over and pressed into the rear face of the still molten plastic. Process eqpt. comprises a multi-part tool with a cavity and in the region of the turned-over material end has an opening which is closed off by slides (2, 3, 10). The second (3) and third (10) slides have working faces at an angle to each other which at the end of the injection stage move towards each other to press the cover ends into the plastic. |
