A vessel 1,2 for continuous cooking of cereal grains comprises a cooking chamber, screw conveying means 7 within the chamber adapted in use to progress the grains through the chamber and a perforated basket 10 arranged for containing the grains within the chamber; the conveying means 7 and perforated basket 10 being coaxially arranged so as in use to rotate together within the chamber and thereby to progress the grains through the chamber. An apparatus comprises two such vessels 1,2 provided with connecting means for transferring product from the discharge outlet 5 of one vessel 1 to the inlet 4 of the second vessel 2. |
