hTRT, the reverse transcriptase subunit of human telomerase

The polypeptide, hTRT (or variants or fragments thereof having at least one biological property of hTRT), antibodies (or fragments thereof) which specifically bind thereto, and nucleic acid sequences encoding hTRT, are described. The polypeptides and nucleic acid sequences are of use in the diagnosis, prognosis and treatment of human disease states (especially cancer and the effect of ageing), in the identification and screening of compounds for the treatment of such states, and in the alteration of the proliferative capacity of cells.
