<p>The outer shell (10) of a roller (3), which is used for continuous casting of aluminium or alloys thereof, is made of steel containing by weight 0.25-0.35% carbon, 0.30-0.60% manganese, 0.15-0.45% silicon, less than 0.40% nickel, 2.90-3.5% chromium, 2.5-3.1% molybdenum, 0.3-0.70% vanadium, less than 0.020% sulphur, less than 0.020% phosphorous and less than 1% copper, the balance being iron and impurities.</p> |
