Release agents for dye-donor element used in thermal dye transfer

A dye-donor element (I) for thermal dye transfer comprises a support having a dye layer comprising an image dye dispersed in a polymeric binder. The dye layer also contains at least 0.005 g/m2 siloxane block copolymer release agent. Also claimed are: (1) a process for forming a dye transfer image comprising imagewise-heating (I), and transferring a dye image to a dye-receiving element (II) to form the dye transfer image; and (2) a thermal dye transfer assemblage comprising (I), and (II) comprising a support having a dye image-receiving layer, where (II) is laid over (I) so that the dye layer contacts the dye image-receiving layer.
