A heatable wall is made from stones (1) each of which has a longitudinal groove (2) in the face nearer the stone immediately above it. A thermal conductor (4) is located in the groove. The depth of the longitudinal groove (2) is greater than the height of the thermal conductor (4). The stone (1) immediately above has a shallow longitudinal groove (3) opposite the deep longitudinal groove (2) in the stone (1) below.
