A description is given of powder coating compositions comprising a) an organic f ilm-forming binder and b) as stabilizer at least one compound of the benzofuran-2-one type. Powder coating compositions stabilized in this way reduce the discoloration of coatings during thermal curing, especially gas oven curing.
