PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To ensure the proper installation position of a seat belt anchor, even if a cross member is arranged to the lower part of a center pillar, by fixing the seat belt anchor to a car body through a bracket stepping over the opening for storing the seat belt retractor of the lower end of the center pillar. SOLUTION: The opening 2 for storing a retractor to the lower end of a center pillar 1 is formed while stepping over the inner panel 3 of the center pillar 1 and the closing plate 5 of a side sill 4 and also a cross member 6 is combined to the side sill 4 while matching to the center of the center pillar 1. A nearly chevron shape bracket 8 is arranged to the lower part of the opening 2 and its one end is fixed to the connection place of the closing plate 5 with a reinforcement 9 by a bolt 10 and its other end is fixed to a side sill inner panel 7 by the bolt 11. A retractor 12 is inserted from the opening 2 and its lower end installation piece 12b is fixed by the bolt 15 to the intermediate part of the bracket 8 along with a seat belt anchor 14.
