PERMANENTLY ANTISTATIC STYRENE-BASED RESIN COMPOSITION AND ITS MOLDED PRODUCT

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a rubber-modified styrene-based resin composition, capable of manifesting permanent antistatic properties and excellent in appearance performances, etc. SOLUTION: This styrene-based resin composition comprises (1) a rubber-like polymer having 0.4-0.9μm weight - average particle diameter, <=1.0μm value of 5% cumulative particle diameter distribution of dispersed particles thereof and >=0.2μm value of 95% cumulative particle diameter distribution of dispersed particles thereof on the weight basis in a rubber-modified styrene-based resin and (2) >=80wt.% ratio of the dispersed particles, having a salami structure and occupied in the dispersed particles in the whole rubber-like polymer in the styrene-based resin composition comprising 1-10 pts.wt. copolymer composed of a monomer unit having a quaternary ammonium base group and a vinylic or a vinylidene-based monomer unit copolymerizable with the monomer unit having the quaternary ammonium base group based on 100 pts.wt. rubber- modified styrene-based resin. The composition is extremely useful as a plastic material used in interior automotive trim parts or household appliances attaching importance to the appearance.
