PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain the fiber structure comprising specific fibers, having biodegradability, free from a coarse hard touch, excellent in quality and handleability, capable of rapidly reducing bulkiness after employment, and useful for woven fabrics, knitted fabrics, etc. SOLUTION: This biodegradable fiber structure comprises fibers produced from a biodegradable polymer such as poly ε-caprolactone and having an average single fiber diameter of 0.1-30μm and a lower hydrothermal shrinkage rate by 25-75 deg.C than the melting point or softening temperature of the polymer. The fiber structure preferably comprises a nonwoven fabric in which the single fibers are arranged. |
