<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To restrain powder from sticking to an edge by a method in which in a method for classifying powder by passing gas which dispersed powder along a channel and dividing a channel into channels, the powder is made to contain a gold-containing azo dye. SOLUTION: Gas which dispersed electrophotography toner powder is supplied from a raw material supply nozzle 1 to a classification zone, fine powder of relatively small inertia force flows in a fine powder channel 3 curving sharply along a Coanda block 2, small-particle powder of small inertia force flows in a small-particle powder channel 4, and coarse powder of large inertia force flows in a coarse powder channel 5 curving mildly. In such a classification method, the powder is made to contain a gold-containing azo dye. The addition of the dye is preferably 0.1-10wt.%. The powder is preferably made to contain a thermoplastic resin, and a linear or branched polyester resin is used as the resin.</p> |
