<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize the receiving of printing data in parallel from a plurality of host devices by a method wherein a receiving buffer memory is divided on the basis of the information on the number of the host devices to be connected. SOLUTION: This terminal printer device is equipped with one receiving buffer memory, the data region of which is divided to buf1-bufN on the basis of the information on the number N of host devices connected to this printer device, and a buffer management memory for managing the receiving buffer memory. The buffer management memory consists of regions buff1HA-buffNHA, in which terminal adress HAs of respective host devices using the buf1-bufN, and regions LPN1-LPNN, in which the serial numbers of packets received last are stored. Further, this terminal printer device stores a received packet in the alloted region of the receiving buffer memory indicated with the terminal adress HA, in which the terminal adress HA of the host device included in the received packet coincides with the terminal adress HA stored in the buffer managing memory or buff1HA-buffNHA.</p> |
