PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an intravascular indwelling catheter device which automatically moves and houses an inside needle into a protective mechanism with extremely simple operation and is capable of preventing the blood infection of a medical engineer. SOLUTION: This intravascular indwelling catheter device 1 has a catheter assembly consisting of a catheter 2 and a hub 3 fixed to its base end, an inside needle assembly consisting of the inside needle 5 having a blade surface for puncture projecting from the front end of the catheter and an inside needle hub 6 fixed to its base end and a housing member 8 for housing the catheter assembly mounting part of the inside needle assembly. The inside needle hub has a cylindrical projecting part 61 which is slidable in the housing member and the rear part of which projects from the housing member. The device has a detaining mechanism 11 for releasably detaining the inside needle hub to the housing member in the state of projecting the catheter assembly from the housing member by pressing the rear end of the cylindrical projecting part of the inside needle hub to the front end side and a hermetic holding member 12 for forming a reduced pressure space in the housing member. |
