PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make it possible to surely and easily execute the measuring of a shield joint position irrespective of a construction position of a tunnel. SOLUTION: In a state to oppose first shield machine 1 and second shield machine 2 to each other at a specific interval, boring is made toward the second shield machine 2 with a first boring mechanism 5 of the first shield machine 1 and, at the same time, boring is made with each of three second boring mechanisms 12 provided in the second shield machine 2. Then, a detection device for ultrasonic wave, electromagnetic wave, radiation ray, magnetism, etc., transmitted from a transmitting section 8 provided in the first boring mechanism 5 is received by receiving section 15 provided in the second boring mechanism 12, and the measuring of a relative position between the first shield machine 1 and second shield machine 2 is made to execute the measuring of a joint position between shield tunnels T1 and T2. |
