PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a metal-added gel propellant containing fine alloy particles good in lgnitionability and improved in specific impulse, secured in the stability of the propellant due to the gelation, improved in the alloy state, and permitting application to liquid fuels by adding the Mg-Al allay fine particles containing the Mg in a specific content or less in the Al to the gel propellant. SOLUTION: This gelled propellant is a hydrazine propellant represented by hydrazine hydrate, a kerosene propellant, etc. The Mg-Al alloy fine particles are added to the gelled propellant in an amount of 10-30wt.% based on the gelled propellant. The Mg-Al alloy is e.g. a Mg(15wt.%)-Al(85wt.%) alloy containing the Mg in an amount increased to a solid solution limit, and is produced e.g. by a fine particle-forming method comprising vacuum-melting the metals and subsequently mixing the melted metals by a gas atomization method. The alloy fine particles have particle diameters of 10-30μm, an average particle diameter of about 20μm, and the surfaces of the fine particles are subjected to a passivation treatment.
